Due to the heat last night, MJ slept on the couch while I  nabbed the bed.  Boondocking with no electric means that all that works is the lights and the water pump – the fridge can run off propane for these instances.  Couldn’t even plug in a fan, but we had bought a couple of those battery run spritzer fans way back.  I’d forgotten all about them til MJ brought me one.  She’s awesome like that.

This morning MJ checked in with the service dept so that they could replace the light fixture over my desk (I keep bumping my head on it) – it was a chandelier  type thing, three lights, glass coverings.  It’s maintenance month there so lighting installs were free and they did battery and tire checks too.  We swapped down to the usual trailer dome light that sits closer to the ceiling.  Less chance of bodily injury as I seem clumsier than usual lately.  Let’s not even get started on the tv antenna crank that’s on the bedroom ceiling.

While waiting on the service folks, we put the animals into the truck and set off in search of breakfast and Home Depot.  For some reason the door fixture on our bathroom broke, so I got a new one to replace it.  Mo was quite unhappy for this ride in her carrier (it’s a little small for her).  Meowing every 2-5 seconds unhappy, so MJ let her out and we decided to search for a Petsmart/Petco to see if they had anything bigger.  Mo and Otis
MoUsually when Mo starts meowing like that, MJ or I will ask in return “Whaaat??” in a way that sort of echos her meow.  After about 10 minutes of that meowing MJ starting asking “Twaaat??” in return.   Dunno what had her so unhappy today, she was fine for the previous driving days in truck.  One or two meows to start then mostly silence the rest of the way.  We let her out of her carrier to see if that helped –  it didn’t, but it did lead to the photo op as we turned out of the Home Depot parking lot.  Her solo pic is us waiting in the truck for MJ and Otis to come out of Petsmart after we finally found it hiding in Deptford.

With the RV finished, we hitched up and drove to Bel Air to meet my parents.  They got the grand tour in the Target parking lot and we headed the rest of the way home.  Even towing your house along with you, it’s sooo good to be home.  Otis and Mo though totally exhausted agree.  MJ and I also totally exhausted.  Whose bright idea was vacation?  :)
