We got up at oh-4-why-is-it-still-so-dark-outside to make the 7-10am window when Comcast was supposed to be show up.  I can’t say I remember much of that drive, but on the road to our homesite we stopped by the Giant so that MJ could drop off the Watchmen at the Red Box (:P).

Comcast ClarenceOnce we  were parked I dropped my seat and took a nap til Comcast showed around 8:30.  It was nearly 10 before he was done (had to connect a line from the pole to the office building here), but we’ll be all good to go with our own internets when we bring the home back.  If you look closely, you’ll see Clarence up the pole.  Getting someone out here only took seven weeks.  Comcast sucks.  Plain and simple.  Sadly, they’re our only viable option for the time being.  But Clarence?  He rocks.  He just happens to work for a craptastic company.

We stopped at my mama’s house to drop off some stuff on our way back north to the park.  Had a quick chat with my Dad and made plans to meet up with them tomorrow so that they could FINALLY see our “house.”  I’m not going to try and get it down their street, but will meet them in a Target parking lot not far from the highway and that is near them.

When we got back to the park, we had just enough time to pack up, put in the slides and awning and roll out before the 3pm checkout.  We decided that we’re just going to stay overnight in the Camping World parking lot rather than try to fit my RV at my grandmother’s house.  There aren’t any hookups and it’s still hot, so I’m working on my “it’s not hot here at all” zen ohm-ing. Ohhhhmmmmm

The exciting part of this trip were the jersey walls on both sides heading up to the Delaware Memorial Bridge.  I can’t remember a time when I’ve driven through there and there wasn’t some sort of construction going on.  Just one heart-stopping moment or two there.

When we got the Camping World, my friend Quishia and her daughter came over to check out our rig, then we set off to find some dinner and ended up at Applebee’s.  Afterward, we went and visited my grandma for a bit, but we were both exhausted so we didn’t stay very long.

Today was the day of re-injuring my sprained index finger and more.  I bashed it into the hand rail on my parents steps, and then when packing up the trailer at the park, managed to whack the steering wheel at some point and as I pulled loose one of the front extenders on the RV while packing up, it dropped on the nail of the middle finger, same hand.  Just wasn’t my day.
