We packed up the “house” and hit the road today. First to the Boston St. Travel Center to put the thing on the public scale. 20700 lbs. Need to do some and figure if we’re overweight or no. MJ thinks no, but listening to and feeling the transmission on hills leads me to think otherwise. But I’m not all too familiar with diesels either.
We made it to Elk Neck State Park in one piece which is good. Just came in the park entrance lane that had 12′ clearance and we’re 12 so to be safe we backed up (!!!!) and went through the lane without an overhang. Stressful? Oh yes.
We got the rig all setup in our pull through spot and now back inside trying to cool off. Our vacation started on the hottest day (yet) of this summer and we pulled into camp at 3pm. So now I plan to spend the rest of the day staying cool and re-reading Deathly Hallows. We’ll probably check out the beach tomorrow and the main drag through North East.
