Or it was supposed to be. Lex declared a day of rest after a pretty intense week. I was feeling restless, though, so I ran some errands, came home, and did some little around-the-house projects. I fixed the screen in the window over the bed, replaced the weatherstripping around the screen door, installed the flamingo patio lights, and put in some adhesive hooks in strategic locations.
When I was done, I was beat and settled into the recliner while Lex made a yummy dinner. My chair sits in the big picture window at the rear of the camper, through which I saw a bunny, a load of birds, and a huge groundhog. It was a cool, overcast day today, so I had all the windows open so we could catch the breeze off the water. Now we’re watching TV and waiting until we feel like having cold watermelon for dessert. A very nice day, in all.
Tomorrow has to be spent grading the last set of papers for my summer class and then getting grades posted. Once that’s done,I’ll think about doing some more packing. Party is on Saturday, so I really need to be done with all this by Friday. Here’s hoping!
